STARTING TOPIC: it's ok to go to a party where drinking and drugs are going around since u can witness to the people there.

TRUE you can witness BUT you can just as easily fall into the trap of those things. The Peer pressure is there and if that is the biggest push of the party then that more of a chance to fall
"Be ye NOT unequally yoked believers with non-believers" Minister to them one on one not at that type of situation. but thats just my opinion

im the same way. it would be a good place 2 witness, but others might think ur crazy since it appears ur doin what u told them not to do. also if ur not rite w/ God, its so easy 4 u 2 fall.

It's not my place to say whether I agree or disagree.

Actually I would dare say it isn't because I actually like some alcoholic beverages.

Actually I would dare say it isn't because I actually like some alcoholic beverages. You're not the only one!!!! *Chardonnay's white wine is extremely good. Haven't had it in a few years, but it tastes awesome* I don't think it's right to go to a party to witness. What if someone who didn't know you or your intentions saw you there and thought, "Oh, he/she is a druggie/alchoholic." It says in the B-I-B-L-E that we have to set an example for others. Even if we don't mean to, we can set the wrong example. You just have to be careful about that stuff. <3 Kimmie

not everyone will know ur intentions. not everyone knows you and why you do things. thats life. every so often we all will do something and even those that really know us will wonder why we do what we do. I have a split decision. ive never been 2 a party, but i have heard stories of friends who had the lifestyle, and got saved and still went and turned the weekly party into a weekly bible study. i guess its just whre u came from. if ur like me, then i dont think its rite, but if u have been there and know what to expect and can handle the pressure and know how things spin and how it workds, then u have my vote to do it.

I think that you Can go to a party and witness, but I don't really think that you Have to. If you were invited to a type of party such as that, than that means that you Obviously know the person throwing it, or others that are going. You can just invite them to chill and then witness to them outside of the temptations, such as the ones that will be at that party. It'll keep you away from those temptations, and the danger of others thinking you have a bad rep.

but we will be tempted everywhere we go, not just parties. but all im sayin is theres not really a "safe zone" @ a party except maybe the bathroom, if that. most parties today have sex, alcohol, and drugs in basically every available room. everywhere u turn is the temptation. if u area very strong christan then may God be with you. but even the strongest of christians will fall, and if ur @ a party, every1 will notice and you will have to live with that 4 a really long time. ur ministry will be plagued.

that's true... but i still stand by not going to those type of parties is a much wiser desicion than going. if you Have to go to minister, so be it. I mean, going to a party like that and making everyone take notice to the things that you Don't do can be a very good thing... IF you're strong enough to go and not take part in what's there. But if you're not, then that can still be a very bad thing.
